James Webb Space telescope is the latest telescope by NASA that cost more than 1000 crores USD. This is more powerful and bigger than the Hubble telescope. The Hubble telescope 🔭 launch and development started around 1990 and revolving around an Earth and doing its operation from around 25 years continue. I think it's time to retire the old telescope. NASA introduces the James Webb Space Telescope. So let's see what this telescope can do and its features.

Why NASA launching James Webb space telescope 🔭?

The Hubble telescope revolving around the earth from 25 years. They still have that old cameras and old functionalities at that time available. This telescope can see the range of wavelengths from 0.6 to 28 micrometers (or "microns"; 1 micron is 1.0 x 10-6 meters) it means it covers the mid range of the infrared spectrum.

As you can see above image the both look the same but, in this James Webb Space Telescope, we can see the mirror in the telescope is 6.5-meter diameter primary mirror if we compare this with the Hubble telescope the herbal has only 2.4-meter diameter mirror.

As you can see in the above image the Webb is present 1.5 million kilometers from the Earth. And it will revolve around the sun as like the earth do. for the reference, you can see that the moon is present at the 1/3 of the distance
